SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Now would also be a good time to forward whatever you can to: The Tisha Abolt Scholarship Fund which has benefited several of our children and is such a great way to lend a helping hand.

WEB SITE
The WEB site has netted us two new members of the KILO family; Bill Doyle who lives in Maine served with the Battery in 1968, I also got a letter from "Budd" Kent who was with Kilo in Okinawa in 1973 - 74. Budd lives in New Jersey.

Jerry Gorman continues his great job with the maintenance and expansion of the web site. He has added a detailed chronology about our time in the Nam. For those of you not on email I'm forwarding a copy of it for your review. The rest of you need to visit the site to get our latest info. If you have pictures or other articles of information that you'd like to appear on the web you can forward them to Jerry.

It is especially important to forward information to him about your time with the unit so he has as much "Kilo History" as possible.

His email address is gman4600@aol.com. You can view the website at http://users.aol.com/gman755/k412/k412.html

CURRENT EVENTS
Cpl Jeff Wean, the son of Vicki and Doug is currently stationed with the 2nd Marine Air Wing at Cherry Point, NC. Jeff is a Digital Communications Specialist/Cryptographer. I "suspect" from some recent pictures that I was emailed that Jeff and Daniele were married on March 2…………..

2nd Lt. Brian Clemens, the son of Susan and Jim is currently stationed at The Basic School at Quantico, VA. He is scheduled to complete TBS on June 14 after which he will proceed to further training in his MOS. At this time he has indicated preferences in Communications or Intelligence. Brian has recently become engaged to Lauren Meeks.

REUNION NEWS
The reunion for 2002 is scheduled for July 18-21 in Lake Placid NY. The weather is beautiful at that time of year and we should make plans to get together at that time. Reservation info:

Lake Placid, NY 12946
Phone: 518-523-3700

Remember to mention you are with Kilo 4/12 so you receive the lower rate which is $78 for Thursday and $105 for Friday and Saturday. They will only hold your reservation with either Visa or American Express.

For those of you flying Montreal, Canada is probably the best with about an hours drive to Lake Placid from there. If going to Canada you will need ID………..drivers license, birth certificate, passport.

Remember to book early, we need to know how many will be attending in order to be properly prepared.

It is evident that the conflict that began on September 11 is far from over. I anticipate that there will be expanded involvement in our Country's quest to eliminate the cowards whose sole purpose is to destroy our way of life.

I trust that our casualties will remain light and our servicemen and women will continue their fine job whether directly involved or in support.

God Bless America!
