Depicted here are the ribbons from the medals that U. S. Servicemen and Women wear, along with their rank insignia. Civilian, rare military and foreign country medal ribbons are also displayed along with ficticious Star Trek Ribbons. There is nothing for sale here. Refreshing, isn't it !!

Thank You.

FAQ: HOW CAN I GET MY MEDALS ?

To replace lost or stolen medals and ribbons, contact your local Veteran's Affairs Office. Ask for Form S-180. Have as much pertinent information as possible. If it is for a deceased relative, the more info you have, the better eg: SS #, Service #, place and date of entry into service, date of discharge, units they were in, campaigns they were in (Europe, Pacific etc. for WW-2). This process can take up to a year if the records weren't destroyed in the fire the records center had in the 70's. You can also purchase medals commercially on the internet or elsewhere. There are many sites. Comparison shop !
FAQ: WHAT IS THE COLD WAR MEDAL ?

By a Resolution of Congress a COLD WAR CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION is authorized for veterans and certain civilians who were on active duty between Sept 1945 thru Dec 1991. There is no medal or ribbon authorized. The commemorative medal and ribbon you have been hearing about and seeing for sale is the same as the other commemorative medals struck by entrepreneurs for sale to vets. These commemoratives are not government issued or authorized for wear. If a company says they are, or ma kes them appear that way through advertising, don't patronize them. These medals are merely souvenirs.
